Have a great three days in a fab experience-full iconic city and then come down to undiscovered Romagna for great food and wine, warm hospitality and unbelievable sights.

How it works:

Get yourself to Rome or Venice or Florence or Milan to arrive on Saturday – we’ll organize a stylish 3 or 4 star city-centre hotel for you. Check in for 3 nights.
The next day – Sunday - our local registered English-speaking guide will call for you to take you for a walk of discovery.

You’ll have another day or two to explore your chosen sensational city – art, food and wine, café’s and restaurants, shopping and strolling, nightclubs and theatres.

On Tuesday you’ll take your reserved seats on the high speed train to Bologna – food and wine capital of Italy. Check into another stylish 3 or 4 star city centre for the night.
And on Wednesday we’ll collect you at your hotel for a change of pace….
We’ll start with an early morning Bologna foodie & culture walking tour before we drive down the via Emilia to Romagna for a superb wine and food tasting at one of the very best vineyards – the organic Zuffa vineyard for a tour and wine tasting.. After, we’ll visit the beautiful hilltop painted city of Dozza before we drive to the lovely hilltop castle town of Longiano. Here we’ll have a fabulous dinner and overnight at our Italian country house.

Thursday is a day of deep culture and shopping. First we’ll visit the republic of San Marina – a stone UNESCO World heritage city perched on top of its mountain – with glorious views and fabulous shops. Then we’ll drive to Ravenna once capital of Imperial Rome and chock-full of dramatic world heritage sites and glistening 1500-year old mosaics. Then a dinner to match our imperial aspirations in Longiano

Now another change of pace – on Friday it’s sleeves rolled up and apron and cap on to learn to cook Italian in “Italy’s best cookery school” Casa Artusi. Naturally we’ll need to eat what we’ve cooked for our lunch together with some fabulous local delicacies (including a glass or two of superb local wine. The leisurely afternoon is taken up with a visit to a scenic historic local vineyard Fattoria Paradiso to taste half a dozen more wines and/or a visit to an olive grove for tasting olive oil.

Our Saturday involves resting in the stunningly beautiful Romagna hills before a visit to another astonishingly beautiful vineyard with mind-bendingly beautiful views. Here we’ll have a taste of two important organic and biodynamic wines with perfect hand-made bread and other specialties. If time allows we’ll go over the valley we’ll taste locally produced olive oil with the 17th generation of the family that produces it – and, of course, dinner.
On Sunday, we’ll be on our way home via Bologna and our entry airport. What an experience we’ve had.
